I have started to work with Darren back in 2011, since then he has worked on 4 other projects of mine.

One of the projects involved weekly visits to oversee the progress of a newly build residential detached house.

Darren’s duties were to carry out visual inspection relating to site’s health & safety and inspect what’s been build during the week according to drawings.

Site visit reports were produced promptly and were used to carry out remedial works, as well as reference to the local authority.

I have been satisfied with Darren’s work and will continue to use him in future.

Darren was recommended to me from a friend and property developer - to help my extremely poorly designed extension. I just needed some simple engineering. I had heard these words time over. My problems were several - the new kitchen was smaller than the original, the sitting room was in the wrong place, the bathroom was squashed in between 2 bedrooms, there was no use of the external light. There were steps from the kitchen to get to the dining room.

I was in a mess personally and the house too. Having been on a wild goose chase with 2 previous architects and engineers Darren was determined to get the property right for me and for me to get back to the home I had left in the trust of local rip offs.

It was winter, dark, wet and I was highly alert and aware of every detail and lost my sense of humour a long time ago.

Darren had a long drive to make back and forth from his home and frankly was up against everything. Nevertheless he walked me through every part of the property and asked me what I liked (not a lot) and what a didn’t (a huge list). He was totally sympathetic and had a vision that I couldn’t see.

He convinced me I should trust him. Only one way to do that; everything was on my terms and on my side. He worked with me to show me he could be trusted. He did everything the local building regs needed. And was there to answer all of their queries.

 

1.5 years on and thanks to Darren I now have my home back – something I never thought I would have.
